DAY 01

CUSCO - SAYWITE - CHIKISCA

Departure from Cusco (7:00 am). Visit to the Saywite Stone (ceremonial water center). Transfer to Capuliyoc. 3-hour descent to Chikisca (1930 masl) in the Apurimac Canyon.

DAY 02

CHIKISCA - MARAMPATA

Descent to Playa Rosalinas (Apurimac River). Demanding ascent passing through Santa Rosa to the village of Marampata (2920 masl). Accommodation in rustic lodges.

DAY 03

CHOQUEQUIRAO ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK

Main day. 1h 40min hike to the citadel. Guided visit: Main Plaza, Ceremonial Temple, Qolcas, and Llama Sector. Lunch and return to Marampata.

DAY 04

MARAMPATA - CAPULIYOC - CUSCO

Early descent to the Apurimac River to avoid the heat. Final ascent to Capuliyoc to visualize the entire path walked. Return to Cusco by transport (4 hours).
