Detailed Itinerary
LIMA PERU (100 MASL) – HUARAZ (3100 MASL)
Public bus to Huaraz (8 hours) or flight (50 min). We recommend at least one day of acclimatization in the Cordillera Blanca before starting.
FULL DAY ROCUTOYOC LAGOON (4450 MASL) – ACCLIMATIZATION
Visit Rocutuyoc lagoon, Ruripaccha waterfall, and Ruripaccha glacier (4,650 masl). Return to Huaraz.
FREE DAY
Strategic rest day to optimize altitude adjustment before entering the Huayhuash circuit.
HUARAZ - QUEROPALCA (3831 MASL) - MITUCOCHA (4230 MASL)
Transfer to Queropalca. Begin the trek towards Mitucocha campsite.
MITUCOCHA (4,230 MASL) - CARHUACOCHA (4,280 MASL)
Carhuac Pass (4,650 masl). Optional alternate route to Carhuac viewpoint for the Three Lagoons vista.
CARHUACOCHA (4280 MASL) - HUAYHUASH (4350 MASL)
The most demanding day. Siula Pass (4,800 masl). Vistas of Trapecio and Leon Dormido peaks.
HUAYHUASH (4,350 MASL) - CUYOCPAMPA (4550 MASL)
Trapecio Pass (5,030 masl). View of Azulcocha lagoon. Optional: San Antonio Viewpoint (5,120 masl).
CUYOCPAMPA (4,550 MASL) - HUAYLLAPA (3630 MASL)
Santa Rosa Pass (5,080 masl). Incredible northern face views of Huayhuash. Descend to Huayllapa village.
HUAYLLAPA (3,630 MASL) - GASHPAPAMPA (4555 MASL)
Ascend to Tapush Pass (4,800 masl). View of the iconic Diablo Mudo peak (5,350 masl).
GASHPAPAMPA (4555 MASL) – HUACRISH VIEWPOINT (4800 MASL) – HUARAZ
Yaucha Pass (4,800 masl). Huacrish viewpoint with total panorama. Final transfer to Huaraz.
HUARAZ – LIMA
Transfer to the bus terminal for the return trip to Lima. End of our services.
