The Cotia Trek is one of the most beautiful routes in the Cordillera Real. It starts at Cotia Lagoon, passes through Pequeno Alpamayo base camp and ends at the Huayna Potosi base camp.
Timeline
LA PAZ – COTIA LAGOON (3800M)
Private transfer to Cotia lagoon. 1.5h hike to the viewpoint for Cordillera Real views.
COTIA – AJUANI (3820M)
Hike to Contadora pass (4900 masl) and descent to Ajuani camp (5-6h).
AJUANI – JURIKOTA (3780M)
Cross Janchallani pass (4800 masl) and arrival at Jurikota camp (6-7h).
JURIKOTA – CONDORIRI
Hike to Austria pass (5200m) and optional ascent to Austria Peak (5350m). Descent to base camp.
BASE CAMP – MARIA LLOCO
Cross Condoriri pass (5100m) with views of Huayna Potosi and Maria Lloco peak.
MARIA LLOCO – HUAYNAPOTOSI BASE
Hike to Zongo pass (5100m) and descent to Huayna Potosi base camp. Return to La Paz.
RETURN
Transfer from hotel to El Alto airport. End of services.
